100% Pinot Noir from the Auvergne, given a gentle whole bunch maceration. The Auvergne is famous for it's volcanic soils (you can see the black rocks in the buildings when you walk around the capital of the region, Clermont d'Auvergne). This sopil gives a lift and smoky minerality to the wine and this light Pinot is a perfect example. We like it lightly chilled. Very different from a lot of Pinot Noir!
