Come and join us for a creative morning working with locally grown flowers and plants to dye your own silk bandana or small scarf.
Ffion from Hael Natural Colour will guide you through the process of bundle dyeing, a steam process that leaves you with beautiful imprints and patterns on fabric.
All flowers and plants used have been grown by Hael Natural Colour, focusing on bright, tonal textures and colours to make your fabric stand out.
We will be dyeing lots of small tester pieces before going on to dye your scarf. This is a playful process, allowing pure experimentation and lots of joy. And you'll be treated to Wright's coffee and cake too!
All materials included. Bring a notebook if you would like to take notes. Silk scarf is approx 55cm x 55cm.
About Ffion
Ffion Taverner is a grower, dyer and facilitator specialising in natural dyes. She co-founded Hael Natural Colour, a farm and dye studio focusing on vegetables, flowers and dye plants. Ffion is passionate about natural colour, seeing where colour can come from and allowing folk to work with their hands and be creative.The session includes delicious Wright's coffee and cake.
