Dave Morris, formerly of Ancre Hill, is now making wines from his own small winery in Monmouthshire. These low-intervention wines are some of the most impressive we’ve tasted from the growing UK wine scene.
Working with grapes from Mayland vineyard in Somerset, where George Price farms without herbicides or pesticides, this is a blanc de noir (a white wine made from red grapes), and has a lovely freshness, with salty fruit and bright acidity. The name is of course a reference to the classic Bob Dylan record.
